Why Choose Allatherm?
On June 22nd, 2021, Allatherm have signed an agreement No. SKV-L-2021135 with the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia for receiving a financial support by participating in the project "Promotion of International Competitiveness" that has be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
Heat Pipes and Heat Loops are the ultimate heat superconductors, outperforming any other heat transfer devices on the market. Their efficiency is unrivaled, thanks to the closed evaporation-condensation cycle within the two-phase system, which results in minimal temperature gradients. This makes Heat Pipes and Heat Loops superior in thermal conductivity — up to several thousand times greater than a solid copper rod of the same size. Heat fluxes as high as 15 kW/cm2 have been recorded (using lithium as the working fluid at 1500oC).
While traditional Heat Pipes can function against gravity, they are limited to a maximum length of about 0.5 meters due to current wick technology. In contrast, Heat Loops, with their capillary pump located only in the evaporator, can effectively work against gravity, supporting up to 10 meters between the evaporator and condenser.
Heat Loops represent the future of thermal management. Already proven in numerous space and planetary missions, this groundbreaking technology is now poised for large-scale terrestrial applications. Just as bulky, inefficient metal heat sinks in computers were replaced by Heat Pipe assemblies, Heat Loops are the next evolutionary leap. We’re here to ensure your business stays ahead of the curve.
In addition to exceptional thermal conductivity, Heat Pipes and Loops offer numerous other benefits:
This is the next generation of thermal technology, and we are here to help you lead the way!
For the past five years, Allatherm has been pioneering an innovative gas transfer technology based on thermal compression. A gas thermal compressor leverages temperature differences to create pressure changes, enabling efficient gas compression and movement within a system.
Key Features of the Technology:
This advanced compressor functions as a sophisticated heat exchanger, increasing gas pressure from the Servicer Tank to levels higher than in the Client Tank, facilitating seamless gas transfer. The process involves cyclical heating and cooling: during the cooling phase, the compressor connects to the low-pressure Servicer Tank, allowing gas to fill as pressure decreases. In the heating phase, it connects to the Client Tank, transferring gas as pressure rises. This cycle repeats continuously.
The thermal compressor is particularly advantageous for high-purity or hazardous gases, such as Krypton, Xenon, Hydrogen, Hydrocarbons, etc. compressing these gases to high pressures (200—400 bars or more).
Allatherm was founded by two childhood friends, Donatas Mishkinis, PhD in Thermal Engineering with over 30 years of experience, and Igors Ušakovs, MSc in Theoretical Physics, with a strong background in business process engineering. Donatas brought a wealth of innovative, unrealized ideas, while Igors had long aspired to return to R&D and build a high-tech company. Together, they combined their expertise and passion, leading to the creation of Allatherm.
